Domestic business events and ticketed conferences of up to 100 people have been authorised to resume in New Zealand as of 15 May 2020.
Events must adhere to one-metre distancing requirements and use contact tracing. This is a pleasing step forward for the business events industry in New Zealand. New Zealand is a trend setter defining a clear distinction between business events and large social gatherings.
New Zealand established a new business advisory service in May this year that will play an important role in the restart of the tourism and business economy.
The Auckland office is the fifth operational base for Arinex and comes as a result of increased business from across the Tasman.
Arinex has been managing events in New Zealand for decades and has built a fantastic network of suppliers and strong bureau relationships, as well as a comprehensive knowledge base in both the inbound incentives market and Professional Conference Organising.
Now with a permanent presence in the country, Arinex will service clients even more seamlessly and look forward to working with events up to 100 people now and larger events very soon.
The much talked about Trans-Tasman Agreement, once implemented, will also open up many business event opportunities and we look forward to working with the business events industries in both countries to develop initiatives to support the tourism industry.
