Sustainability

 

Arinex respects our relationship with the environment and we openly acknowledge the adverse effects events may have when not conscientiously managed. Thus, sustainability is at the fore of every decision we make. We are proud to obtain carbon neutral certification in 2021, becoming the first PCO in Australia to do so. But that is only the beginning; we are brimming with ideas to help reduce the footprint for our event partners. It means that you can be assured when you choose Arinex, you’ll leave minimal impact on the environment while having maximum impact on your attendees.

Community

Events should have a positive impact on the community and we achieve this by channelling our staffs’ expertise and passion to help others. Arinex is a proud corporate partner of Starlight Children’s Foundation, helping carry out the charity’s mission of brightening the lives of sick children. We have a long-standing partnership with Sydney Rotary Club, providing voluntary event services for their annual New South Wales Police Officer of the Year Awards since the inaugural event in 2010. We also regularly work with charities like OzHarvest to support communities in need and we engage First Australians to integrate their culture in our event design and proposals and appropriately acknowledge them as traditional owners. These initiatives provide our clients and staff with the comfort of knowing their events are making a positive difference.

Workplace diversity is of huge importance to any organisation’s success and we are proud of the diversity at Arinex. We are committed to employing people from all cultures and backgrounds and we aspire to diversify our company across all indicators including gender, age, sexuality, ability and religion. This is evidenced through our many spoken languages, with our staff collectively speaking more than 20 languages. We acknowledge Indigenous Australians as the traditional custodians of our land and seek to be an employer of choice for those identifying as First Nations people. This is achieved through our values of an inclusive work environment, where we work to break down barriers and embrace diversity of people, ideas, talents and experiences.

Legacy

Our staff are our heart and soul and their satisfaction and wellbeing is critical to the success of our Company. As such, we have policies in place to support staff on a personal level – including flexible working arrangements and mental health support – and we are continually looking to improve in these areas. Staff development is one of our highest priorities and we invest heavily into this each year,  deploying more than 3,146 hours of external training in 2018. We strongly believe in promoting from within and we run a successful intern program to identify up-and-coming talent while supporting young professionals.
